We’ll traverse Cape Ann and make our way backup to New Hampshire, where every twist and turn will unveil new treasures waiting to be discovered!

As the sun rises on Day 2, we’ll find ourselves in Hampton, NH, ready to embark on an unforgettable quest to witness every single lighthouse in the state (yes, both of them!). But we won’t stop there! We’ll venture into the enchanting land of Maine, where numerous lighthouses await our arrival. An overnight stay in Freeport, ME will offer us a chance to soak in the beauty of the surroundings and revel in the magic of our coastal journey!

EXPERIENCE:
On Day 2, we will visit 12 different lighthouses, including “The Most Photographed Lighthouse in the World”!

The first lighthouse after lunch includes a short walk to visit.
Overnight in Freeport, ME (includes a stint of highway riding)

5.5 hours (seat time), 275 miles

Day 3 takes us on a fast-paced jaunt to far Downeast Maine. We’ll make some highway miles to get us to the easternmost point in the contiguous United States. More lighthouse gems will grace our path, leading us to an awe-inspiring sight: a Canadian lighthouse seen from Lubec, ME, so close you’ll feel like you could touch it across the shimmering waters!

EXPERIENCE:
On Day 3, we visit just 2 lighthouses, but get to see coastal Maine up close and personal.

Day 4 unveils more of the true essence of Maine’s rocky coast, as we witness firsthand the ingenuity and Yankee Spirit that went into placing and constructing these magnificent New England lighthouses. The latter part of the day will take us through the breathtaking landscapes of the Acadia National Park region.

Our final night will be a celebration of the memories made, filled with laughter, stories, and a farewell meal that honors the bonds we’ve formed and the extraordinary adventures we’ve shared.

Having immersed ourselves in the charm of numerous iconic New England towns and villages, we’ll continue our journey, heading back west and south along the Maine Coast. Our final day will show us more of the unique and hearty maritime icons that have kept sailors and fishermen safe during all of New England’s wildly individual seasons.

We’ll finish up the day with some highway miles to get us back to New Hampshire.
